Since being devastated by wildfires, the island community of Maui is rebounding and renewing in a bold way. The Maui Seaside hotel, one piece of the continued Maui ecosystem, created a goal to capture this renewal and the spirit of the island.
Envisioning a space that instantly transports visitors to a serene, tropical getaway, the designer shared the concept via a quick email. The art department at LW Contract went to work. Incorporating native wildlife and vegetation, the Lahaina banyan tree became a focal point to tie into the natural watery landscape. Adding in sea turtles and humpback whales, every detail in this scene was accounted for to be uniquely Maui, even down to the native butterflies and insects.
With no upfront charges, LW’s art team is here to allow any designer's inspiration to flow into a one-of-a-kind mural that initiates an immersive experience for guests, as well as lets a designer's natural talents shine.
